June 10th – Chattanooga to Birmingham – Power Tour

8:30 AM  Chattanooga to Birmingham – Hot Rod Power Tour

It was an uneventful day (Yeh!) for our car and us as we traveled the tour route leaving Chattanooga Tennessee to Birmingham Alabama.  We passed many beautiful and ‘not-so-beautiful’ cars but all of them were hot-hot cars.  Many of these drivers have a great sense of humor as you will see in some of the pictures below.

Our old friend, Rich, from Philadelphia, headed home today driving his 1931 Chevrolet that developed  a problem.  We wish him luck in making it all the way back.  You go, Rich!

There was a Camaro from Kentucky traveling with a group of friends from the Elizabethtown Kentucky area - all these cars looked as if they could blow our doors off….maybe.  I met Tim from the Elizabethtown area who said he had car trouble with his original ‘ride’.  When he arrived in Chattanooga he drove all the way home to pick just south of Louisville to pick up his wifes car, the Camaro he is driving… just so he could complete the tour.  It looked like the only thing missing Tim had missing was his wife who couldn’t make the trip.
